Barby, a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Club of the Memphis Area
Association of Realtors, is an Affiliate Broker with Marx-Bensdorf,
Realtors. Founded in 1868, it is the oldest real estate company in
Memphis. It is a full-service firm committed to high ethical standards
and personal service. Our agents maintain one of the highest per-agent
sales volumes in the area.
My specialties range from large-tract suburban properties; Collierville;
Germantown; East Memphis homes; and condominiums and homes in the
Downtown area.
I am a graduate of
White Station High School and attended the University of Memphis.
While raising two children, I have been very active in the community,
including driving for “Meals on Wheels” at MIFA for 10 years. I have
served on many local boards, including Porter Leath and St. Mary’s
School and Lausanne Collegiate School. While serving on the Parent’s
Board at Grahamwood Elementary I developed a “Say No to Drugs” program,
as well as serving as President of the National Council of Jewish Women,
Memphis section, and was acknowledged as the Volunteer of the Year in
1999.
From 1985 – 2000, I traveled extensively while working and learning
about the old ways as well as the new methods of production and
marketing of wine and spirits.
My public relations skills include arranging special events and
coordination meetings for various local organizations and helping
individuals maintain a favorable public image.
My love for horses, specifically hunter jumpers, continually takes me
back to Germantown to either teach beginners to ride, or to compete
myself in the Germantown Horse Show.
I am currently a
volunteer for the Memphis Music and Heritage Festival, The Center for
Southern Folklore, and a Judge’s Assistant at the International Blues
Foundation...
